Speed kinda matters but you'll see significant price hikes in anything above 2600 mt/s. 16GB is usually more than enough for people unless you plan on using ram hungry programs in conjunction (lots of video editing, and AutoCAD design), but for gaming, streaming music, and using discord it should be more than enough. Memory: DDR4 16GB RAM, ideally 2 8GB sticks which will give you room to expand later with 2 more identical sticks to 32GB.
